There is a saying in Tamil, “போதும் என்ற மனமே பொன் செய்யும் மருந்து”, which literally translates to “The heart that is satisfied is like a pill (medicine, chemical) made of that makes gold.”

In other words, “Content is king.”

  1. Ada da VK. Translation la sarukkiteengale. Pon Seyyum Marundhu is not a pill made of gold. It’s a medicine that makes gold illeyo?

  2. My bad; corrected. Your avvaiyaar status has been reaffirmed.

  3. Then Content should be the RBI Governor, no ? for minting money ?

  5. Vijay,
nice blog – just got here; (sorry messed up first post, pls delete)

[a] the main post on Tamil page, does not reflect your change – it still says ““The heart that is satisfied is like a pill (medicine, chemical) made of that makes gold.” The comment page reflects the
    change however with the -strikethru-

[b] “போதும் என்ற மனமே” as previous commenter pointed out is “A heart that says enough – is full, contended, unless there is a play on words with content, that is not evident.

    Keep ‘em coming.

I agree with SriKrishna, unless there is a play on the word ‘content’ there is no relevance.
