It is the zest and enthusiasm with which the kid sang that needs to be appreciated. Obviously at that age, it is difficult to get everything into place. We still have controversies over our National Anthem. I remember that I used to messup one of my teacher’s names when I was in my 7th standard (1981-82, I think). I used to refer to him as Velpuri when his actual name was Velmurugan. Some of the students ate off the last portion of his name when pronouncing and I took it from them literally.

Well at least he has the zest in him to sing the national anthem and he really seems to have enjoyed it.I laughed hard but it made my day..Nothing outrageous about children loving their national anthem.:)

National Anthem is one and the only song that is to be sung with due respect and reverence by every Indian. One cannot ‘tamper’ or tinker with it whatever be one’s age. I would have been happier had the child sung it properly.

LOL!! That was so typical. Most kids do not have well developed tongues to touch their palate i think. so vidahathaa is vidata and so forth. Kuzhandaikku enna theriyum paavam.. adha poruthavaraikkum its a random selection of sounds that can be memorised.
