The fruits of random browsing… try this question.
Who wrote the screenplay for the Mani Ratnam movie, Thiruda Thiruda?
“Duh”, you say? Yes, I know, Mani Ratnam does it for all his movies. In fact, all his movies are signed off, “Written and directed by Mani Ratnam”. But not this one. And I was pleasantly surprised on learning who the screenwriter for this slick, technically-brilliant movie, which didn’t do well at the BO, was.
If you’re guessing, here are a few clues to guide you. The screenwriter is a (very) famous Indian film personality. Not Tamil, though. Male.
Still guessing? Here’s the answer!

welcome back
welcome back vk. even for yuva, mani rathnam didn’t write the screenplay.
its Ram gopal varma..
..good one but thats not the end of the story. RGV made a movie called Kshana Kshanam in Telugu. Its a cult classic – guess who did the screenplay for that one? Guess who…you must have guesssed by now!
The screen play was by Sujatha. I think there is some mix up in the IMDB.
In one interview Sujatha was asked as to how he collected the information about the transport of Money, the lock with Cards (Remember that the movie came in 1993 when SIM Cards were not known to every one) etc
Also, SUjatha had written in Katrathum Petrathum that he listened to the songs of the movie in some form (some digital tape etc)
it’s anurag kashyap. director of black friday and paanch..!
