Any Chennai Theatres ??
I watched this movie sometime back (may be even last year) and it was an amazing movie. The movie is about a british official who searches for evidence about the mysterious death of his wife in africa. The movie reveals how much the african is utilized as a testing field for drugs manufactured by companies like pfzier, mercks etc. I think this movie also won the oscar in some category which I fail to recollect. A great movie with amazing performances.
Thalaivare, sorry for the late entry. Blog looks awesome!! TCG was a neatly made movie. My bro (a big fan of JLC) says it was very faithful to the book. Though the kind of story (drug cos scam – espionage) is not new, it felt good watching something different from the usual Hollywood stuff. And yeah, brilliant performances..
@GD: The movie is showing at 6 Degrees, Sathyam Cineplex.
@Eshwar: True, the movie was quite haunting. I think there is a voice-over somewhere, “This is how the world f#$%s Africa.” Weisz won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. The movie was nominated in the Screenplay category too.
@Vijay R: Thank you! Have heard a lot about Le Carre, but never read him; that’s gonna change soon. And yes, brilliant performances. Fiennes never disappoints.
